INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANCY
DEVELOPMENT OF A LIGHT POPULATION SITUATION ANALYSIS (PSA) TO CONTRIBUTE TO 2020 UN COMMON COUNTRY ASSESSMENT CCA.
During the development the United Nations Development Framework (UNDAF) 2018-2022, the UN in Kenya conducted a Common Country Assessment (CCA) as part of the development process aimed at informing its theory of change, visioning exercise and the results framework targets and benchmarks. The new United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) requires the CCA to be kept light and regularly updated to track and reflect situational developments. The UN agencies has therefore embarked on the process of reviewing and updating the CCA. This will be informed by rigorous analysis to inform evidence -based programming -especially within the COVID-19 Pandemic and the UN comparative advantage.
UNFPA Kenya country office will develop a light Population Situation Analysis (PSA) that will anchor the three transformative result - Ending Preventable maternal deaths, Ending unmet need for family planning and Ending gender-based violence and harmful practices- into the CCA, UNSDCF and CPD development.
Purpose of consultancy
To conduct a light Population Situation Analysis on UNFPA mandate areas and prepare a report as a UNFPA contribution to UN CCA.
