The Mandera government yesterday launched two life-saving centres to cut the county’s record infant mortality.
The county has the world’s highest infant mortality rate, with 3,795 deaths recorded last year, Governor Ali Roba said.
United Nation Population Fund, technology company Philips and the county government have partnered in the six-month project.
