In Kenya, technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) is an emerging and urgent challenge, taking forms such as online harassment, image-based abuse, cyberstalking, among other forms that compromise safety and limit participation in both public and digital life.

With funding from Global Affairs Canada, UNFPA has launched the Making All Spaces Safe programme—one of the first global initiatives dedicated to addressing TFGBV. Running from 2024 to 2027, the programme works through national partnerships to accelerate and strengthen initiatives that prevent and respond to TFGBV, integrating them within existing GBV case management systems and programming. Kenya is one of the pilot countries for this initiative, making it a key partner in shaping innovative approaches to tackle digital forms of violence and build safer, more inclusive digital spaces.

This video showcases how the Making All Spaces Safe (MASS) programme is being piloted in Kenya, highlighting the realities of TFGBV and the need for collective efforts to create safer, more inclusive digital spaces.
